|The Carriage Shed prides itself on being a Vermont family run business. Robert (Father) does everything from working up quotes to delivering and setting up buildings. Jenny (Daughter) is the general manager, Amy (Daughter) is the assistant manager, and Greyson (Grandson) is the playground equipment tester. They all were born and have grown up in Vermont.
Robert was born and raised in Central Vermont. After two tours in Vietnam, Robert headed back to Vermont to start a construction business. Therrien Foundations was formed and operated for 36 years, until he had the opportunity to buy The Carriage Shed. He could see the growth potential that the business had. When he took over, The Carriage Shed dealt mostly with smaller sized sheds. Robert has allowed the business to grow, especially in the custom larger built structures. He loves working closely with the Amish and helping them design bigger and better structures for our customers. In his free time, if he can ever pull himself away from work, he loves to travel, fly planes, and spend time with his family.
Jenny was born and raised in Vermont. Even though she made her escape attempt to the Caribbean for two years, she made her way back to her home state. She does question her sanity during the middle of winter, when there is about 4’ of snow outside. She enjoys working with her family on a daily basis. It makes for a fun filled work atmosphere.
Jenny graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in Anthropology and Cultural Geography. She loves that she is still able to put her Anthropology background to good use by working with the Amish. She loves spending time with our very own playground inspector, Greyson.
Amy was also born and raised in Central Vermont. She Graduated from The University of Maine Orono with a BFA, focusing in painting and sculpture in 2011. Amy is now working at The Carriage Shed full time, and is following her passion from art on the side. She recently got engaged to Alex Drew, and they are planning a 2014 wedding. In her free time she loves to hike, travel, and spend time with her family.
Playground Equipment Tester
When Greyson is not at Preschool he is the playground inspector at The Carriage Shed. He loves spending time around the heavy equipment, the forklift, delivery truck and the tractor trailers that come up from PA. Greyson is a tool aficionado. If something needs to be fixed, he is the man for the job. He wants to be a firefighter when he grows up. He also enjoys playing his guitar, anything with wheels and spending time with his friends and family. He is the world to his Mom, Jenny and his Dad, Jose.
